With last week's loss to the Jets, the 2-9 Bengals went 0-4 against the AFC East this season. It's the first time Cincinnati has gone winless against an intraconference division since the schedule format was changed in 2002.
Last season, the Bengals went 1-3 vs. the AFC West portion of the schedule. They went 1-3 vs. the AFC North in 2008, which means Cincinnati is 2-10 over the last three seasons in such games.
The Bengals have never put together a winning record against an intraconference division since 2002.
They have broke even four times. They went 2-2 against the AFC West in 2003, 2-2 against the AFC North in 2005, 2-2 vs. the AFC West in 2006 and 2-2 vs. the AFC East in 2007.
SAINTS ROLLING: With four wins in a row and five in their last six games, the Drew Brees-powered Saints are one of the hottest teams in the league as they prepare for the Sunday 1 p.m. game against the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. Brees has thrown for more then 300 yards four times in his last five outings and New Orleans (8-3) has won three of the four. Brees threw for more than 300 yards once in the Saints' first six games.
SUPER PRODUCTIVE: In their last six games, the Saints have been more productive than they were last season while winning the Super Bowl. They have averaged 417.2 total yards, 307.5 yards passing and 29.3 points per contest. (Last season, they averaged 403.8 total yards and 272.2 passing yards per game). New Orleans' full-season averages are 382.3 total yards, 286.5 yards passing and 23.5 points.
MARCHING OVER THE AFC: The Saints are 9-1 in their last 10 games against the AFC, including their 31-17 Super Bowl XLIV victory over the Colts in February.
UNRESTRICTED: Here is a list of the Bengals' unrestricted free agents following the completion of the 2010 season. Offense: RB Cedric Benson, TE Reggie Kelly, OG Evan Mathis, WR Terrell Owens. Defense: DE Jonathan Fanene, LB Brandon Johnson, LB Dhani Jones, CB Johnathan Joseph, S Roy Williams, S Gibril Wilson.
