MILAN (AP) -- AC Milan's chief executive says
David Beckham's return to the Serie A team on a loan from the Los
Angeles Galaxy in January is all but certain.

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani said on Monday that the deal "is practically
100 percent certain" and that signatures are all that are needed to
complete the agreement. The ANSA news agency reported that Galliani
made the remarks to Sky Italia.

The former
England captain has long been linked with a second loan at Milan, where
he performed well in a six-month stay last season. He wants to return
to Europe to maintain his place on England's 2010 World Cup squad.

Beckham has helped the Galaxy reach the eight-team Major League Soccer playoffs for the first time in four years.
