ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Mike Trout is out of the Los Angeles Angels' starting lineup for the second straight game to rest his tight right hamstring.
Trout is expected to miss consecutive games for the first time in the last two seasons Tuesday night when the Angels host Cleveland.
The All-Star outfielder felt tightness in his leg while running out a double Sunday. He sat out Monday's series opener against the Indians, and the Angels decided to sit him down again for the second game.
Trout says his leg feels much better now, but he's fine with being extra careful about his health. The AL's second-leading hitter planned to ice his leg after doing some running before the game.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia says Trout isn't ready to run the bases in a game.
