Hard-working defensive tackle Mike Martin endured on-the-field neglect his first three seasons in Ann Arbor, buried in RichRod's offensive-minded program.

Under the tutelage of Brady Hoke, though, Martin thrived and racked up 64 tackles last season, earning All-Big Ten second team honors for a second straight season.

Martin, 6-foot-2 and 304 pounds, on Friday was rewarded for his service at Michigan when the Tennessee Titans selected him with the 82nd overall pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Martin will join Shaun Smith, Karl Klug, Sen'Derrick Marks and Jurrell Casey at defensive tackle on a Tennessee defense that ranked 18th in NFL in total yards, eighth in points allowed and 24th against the run.
