Midweek Stock Report: Packers' Thompson trends up … or is it down?
Every Wednesday, FOX Sports Wisconsin takes a look at which athletes' stock is trending up and whose is trending down.
In other words, who is making a meteoric rise, and who is quickly plummeting.
With that in mind, let's "take stock" of the current sports scene in Wisconsin, shall we?
Ted Thompson, Packers general manager
Attention Thompson haters: Green Bay signed the best tight end available on the free-agent market. No, seriously. And then Thompson added another pass-catching threat in tight end Lance Kendricks, a Milwaukee native and former Wisconsin Badger. He even brought back cornerback Davon House, who should help Green Bay's situation in the secondary. Thompson also re-upped unrestricted free agent Nick Perry, who led the Packers in sacks last season. See, Ted can spend!
Tony Snell, Bucks guard
Snell has scored in double digits in five straight games -- the longest stretch of his career. In Milwaukee's las two games, Snell has 19 and 10 points while making a combined 10 of 16 shots, including 6 of 10 3-point attempts.
Jesus Aguilar, Brewers first baseman
Aguilar went 6 for 13 last week and socked two home runs, giving him three in spring training, which is tied for the lead on the Brewers with Keon Broxton and Domingo Santana, although Aguilar has done it in few at-bats. Overall in 12 games, Aguilar is batting .462 with a .563 on-base percentage and .885 slugging percentage. Eric Thames is set at first base, but can Aguilar squeeze his way onto the roster as a right-handed option and pinch hitter?
Corey Clement, Badgers running back
By all accounts Clement improved his numbers from last month's NFL Combine -- which were not stellar by any means -- at Wednesday's Wisconsin Pro Day. Clement could use the help as this a deep running back draft class. Clement made a good first impression at the Senior Bowl and now has done the same in his last testing. Maybe that help makes up for his poor combine performance. Either way, he helped turn his arrow back up (how much, we won't know until April's draft).

For all the Thompson haters: Look at all the free agents that he hasn't re-signed, including T.J. Lang, whom apparently didn't get a very good offer from making it easy for him to sign with Detroit. And what about a big-name cornerback instead of a retread?
