C'sonte York wasn't likely to make much of an impact on the Michigan offense this season.

His chance is now officialy zero.

The sophomore wide receiver, who was suspended indefinitely earlier this month after being arrested for assault, was kicked off the team on Monday.

"Csont'e York has been dismissed from the Michigan football program," Brady Hoke said in a statement. "Representing the University of Michigan is a privilege and, while second chances are certainly deserved, sometimes it's better for everyone if that happens somewhere else.

"Overall, I have been proud of how responsible our team has been this offseason and how hard they've worked to prepare for the season.”

According to information released by the Ann Arbor Police Department, York is accused of punching a man outside Scorekeepers in July, breaking his jaw in three places. He was originally scheduled for a pre-trial here last week, but that has been moved to early September.

York only appeared in one game last season, and was well down the depth chart at wide receiver even before his arrest.
