Michigan trying to entice students to go to football games

University of Michigan football tickets are a tough sell these days. The team hasn't been meeting perennial expectations and the home football slate is lacking in marquee matchups.

The school's associate athletic director said the usual student ticket sales are in the range of 18-21,000 but this year is expected to be closer to 13-14,000.

In response, the school will roll out three ticket packages to try to drum up some more sales:

- The Go Blue pack - Penn State night game, Miami (Ohio) and one other game; starts at $200

- The Fan Choice Pack - three games, except Penn State; costs according to selected games

- The Family Pack - four games, begins at $260 for three games, the first two non-conference, then Maryland; also includes shirts, programs, hot dogs and drinks.

For Ohio State students, ticketing windows begin to open June 2 at 4 p.m. Their full-season package is $266 (including service charge), while a Big Ten package of four home games is $152 with the service charge.
