LAHTI, Finland (AP) Michael Hayboeck won his second World Cup ski jumping individual event at the Lahti Ski Games on Sunday.

The Austrian kept his nerve in tough conditions, with the competition moved from the large to the normal hill due to adverse weather, and he jumped 98.5 and 100 meters for 241.4 points and a clear victory.

''The conditions were difficult today, you needed luck to be on the podium,'' Hayboeck said.

Karl Geiger of Germany took second with 232.2 points (96 and 99.5 meters). Japan's Taku Takeuchi was third on 229.9 points (96 and 95).

Slovenia's Peter Prevc , the dominant jumper this season, was unlucky with the weather in the first round with an 89-meter effort after which he was only 22nd. His second jump of 95.5 meters lifted him to ninth.

Many of the top jumpers got a close look at the very hill they will use in the normal hill competition next year at the world championships.

Hayboeck liked what he saw.

''I remember jumping on the normal hill here four years ago, the weather was also bad back then. Now I know I like this hill,'' Hayboeck said. ''It was a perfect weekend for me with one win on the large and one on the normal hill.''

Hayboeck's wins moved him from sixth to fourth in the overall standings. Prevc still has a commanding lead, 541 points ahead of reigning champion Severin Freund of Germany.
