University of Miami senior Allen Hurns was named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Receiver of the Week on Monday.
Hurns, who garnered the first weekly honor of his career, becomes the seventh Hurricane to receive the accolade this season.
The 6-3, 195-pounder caught four passes for a career-high 142 yards in Miami's 42-24 loss to Virginia Tech. Hurns' 84-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter was the longest of his career and the longest play from scrimmage for Miami this season.
Hurns leads the Hurricanes in receptions (37), receiving yards (732) and receiving touchdowns (five). He is 268 yards shy of posting the fourth 1,000-yard receiving season in program history.
