Miami men's hoopsters to play in Wooden Legacy

The University of Miami men's basketball team will play in the new Wooden Legacy tournament to played Thanksgiving weekend in California, it was announced Tuesday.
Miami, Creighton, Marquette, San Diego State, Arizona State, Cal State Fullerton, College of Charleston and George Washington will compete in the Wooden Legacy, which was formed by combining the former Wooden Classic and the Anaheim Classic.
Matchups for the event have not been set.
The Hurricanes went 29-7 last season, winning the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title and postseason tournament for the first time in the program’s history.
Miami lost all five of its starters from last year's team, which reached the NCAA tournament regional semifinals.
Coach Jim Larranaga has reloaded the roster, signing point guards Angel Rodriguez and Manu LeComte, guards Deandre Burnett and Davon Reed and power forward James Kelly. Football-basketball players Corn Elder and Derrick Griffin also are expected to compete for playing time.
