Miami Hurricanes take break from camp to participate in Home Run Derby

On the first break since camp began, University of Miami football players participated in a Home Run Derby Tuesday at the Greentree Practice Fields.
Some, like senior defensive lineman Anthony Chickillo and sophomore tight end Standish Dobard, looked more like pitchers with their swings and misses.
Senior linebacker Denzel Perryman called his shot before sending a softball over the fence with a violent swing that could rival Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
It should come as no surprise junior safety Dallas Crawford, who led the team in touchdowns last year before moving to the defensive side this spring, flashed the leather while shagging in the outfield.
But no one could match freshman quarterback Malik Rosier. Then again, he has an unfair advantage: He is also scheduled to play for Jim Morris' baseball team in the spring.
