Meyer tapes good luck message for Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2009 and just the second time ever.
Among those taking notice: Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer.
In a short video shot from his office and posted Friday morning on the Blue Jackets website, Meyer wishes the team good luck in its playoff series vs. Pittsburgh. Game Two is Saturday night in Pittsburgh before the series comes to Columbus for Game Three on Monday.
Whether or not Meyer truly has playoff hockey fever, the video stands as a goodwill gesture. Last month, Meyer was quoted in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution recruiting article as saying, "(at Ohio State) you get a premium education with the opportunity to go compete for a national championship in a large city that really has no professional sports team. There's a lot to be offered up here."
That raised a few eyebrows, causing Meyer to later issue a clarification to the Columbus Dispatch that said: "I have great respect for both the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Columbus Crew organizations. The intent of my comment about football recruiting was that Columbus doesn't have professional football. I should have made that point clear, and I do apologize for the misunderstanding.
"I am pulling for the Blue Jackets in their playoff drive and I wish the best for the Crew under its new leadership."
The Blue Jackets have also posted good luck messages on the team's website from other prominent figures, including Cleveland Indians first baseman and Ohio State alum Nick Swisher.
