The Ohio State baseball team -- and even the University of Cincinnati baseball team --- have made it clear freshman pitcher Zach Farmer is not facing his fight against leukemia alone. The Buckeyes have already registered as bone marrow donors, hopeful of being able to contribute to Farmer's treatment after the disease goes into remission.
Football coach Urban Meyer, athletics director Gene Smith and countless others have joined the battle, too.
The university is also asking fans to register as bone marrow donors, and their next chance to do that comes Saturday when the Buckeyes host Northwestern at noon at Bill Davis Stadium.
