Lamar
Odom's NBDL career didn't last very long.

As the Texas Legends were preparing for the most anticipated morning
shoot-around in team history, a notice went out to media that their new
player would not be in attendance because the Dallas Mavericks recalled Odom on Saturday
morning.

Odom will instead be in Dallas on Saturday night for the Mavericks' NBA game against the Utah Jazz.

The Mavericks, fresh off a 97-92 loss Friday night in New Orleans, are
on a four-game losing streak, their longest this season.

They are playing a stretch of nine
games in 12 days, and depth concerns triggered the need to bring
Odom, their 6-foot-10 power forward, back to the main roster immediately without
the planned tune-up game against the Austin Toros.

Odom has not played since Feb. 20, missing the four-game losing streak. He had reportedly gone home to Los Angeles because his father was ill, but it soon became apparent the health issue was not as serious as initial reports indicated.

Odom is in the midst of his worst season as a pro, averaging 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds and shooting 35.7 percent after being acquired in a trade shortly before the season started.
