Matt Carpenter: the not so abominable snowman

ST. LOUIS -- By all accounts, Matt Carpenter had a career-year in 2013. He was first-time All-Star, led the National League in hits (199), runs (126) and doubles (55) and finished fourth in the NL MVP voting. His final batting line of .318/.392/.481 wasn't too shabby, either. His easy-going demeanor and relentless hustle easily made him a fan favorite.
So as St. Louis got a heavy dose of the polar vortex this past week, one fan decided to pay homage to the scrappy infielder.
Meet Matt Carpenter the snowman, a jolly happy soul with his eyebrows made of coal. But when they placed the Cardinals cap on his head, did he begin to dance around? Or is that bit of magic reserved for Frosty? Either way, well done, Ryder.
