IRVINE, Calif. -- On the basketball court, Stanley Johnson makes the unusual look usual.
It sounds like an old tale to say Johnson stepped off of a plane and won a dunk contest, but that's exactly what he did Saturday night, winning the dunk contest and being named MVP at the SchollyMe All World Games at Concordia University.
Friday night, Johnson scored 24 points in the 13th annual Jordan Brand Classic at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Saturday night he wowed a crowd clear across the country in Irvine.
"I just got back, I'm tired," Johnson acknowledged following the game.
What makes this story even more outrageous, adding to the lore of Johnson, is he wasn't even scheduled to participate in the dunk contest or the game.
He was in attendance solely to cheer on some of his fellow McDonald's All-Americans in the girls game that preceded the boys. Game officials spotted him and handed him a jersey.
As for the dunks, he did three. The finale was a one-hand windmill. Simple, to the future Arizona Wildcat.
"That's in-game stuff," an understated Johnson told FOXSportsWest.com. "You've seen me do that in a game before. That's an in-game dunk that I can do all the time."
As a senior, Johnson became the first player to win four CIF state championships in the upper division, while also earning Gatorade State Player of the Year honors.
