After spending this past Thanksgiving in Hawaii, Marquette will spend the holiday weekend in Anaheim, Calif. in 2013.
The Direct TV Classic announced the majority of its field for next year’s tournament, with Marquette joined by Arizona State, College of Charleston, Creighton, George Washington, Miami and South Carolina. The eighth and final team will be announced at a later date.
Kicking off next Thanksgiving, the tournament will be held Nov. 28-Dec. 1, with all games played at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The Golden Eagles have never participated in what used to be called the Anaheim Classic, which began in 2007.
