MIAMI (AP) -- Miami Marlins third baseman Placido Polanco has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with a concussion.
The move was made before Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Polanco was hit in the back of the helmet with a pitch Friday against San Francisco.
The Marlins selected infielder Gil Velazquez from Triple-A New Orleans. They also transferred outfielder Marcell Ozuna to the 60-day disabled list.
