Marlins minor league team renamed to New Orleans Baby Cakes

The New Orleans Zephyrs, the Miami Marlins Triple A affiliate, has officially renamed the team to the New Orleans Baby Cakes.

The team was also considering the Tailgators, the Night Owls and the Baby Cakes.

Along with a new team name, the Baby Cakes will also have new team colors and a mascot.

The Zephyrs name had been around since 1993.
