Mark Sanchez celebrates MNF rout with victory cheesesteak

After leading the Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) in a thorough 45-21 beatdown over the noncompetitive Carolina Panthers Monday night, Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez hit up a pair of famous cheesesteak landmarks after hours to get a bite and celebrate.
The former New York Jets QB (and virgin sacrifice) relieved the injured Nick Foles against the Texans last Sunday, and the Monday Night Football game marked his first NFL start since December 2012. He looked sharp and as Adam Schefter noted, he threw for at least 300 yards with multiple touchdowns and zero turnovers for the first time in 63 career starts.
Better yet, by the time Sanchez reached Pat's and Geno's, it was his 28th birthday. Sanchez even had ecstatic fans waiting for him, one of whom gave the QB cheese fries! I can personally attest from four years of late night runs to Pat's in the City of Brotherly Love that those cheese fries are absolutely incredible and certainly not the type of food I would share after midnight. So this Sanchez-Philly love affair is real, for now.
On Tuesday, Sanchez will be back to work, because 1 a.m. cheesesteaks are most certainly not a part of Chip Kelly's famed and secretive sports science and player nutrition regimen.
