Mario Williams’ story has it all: Drugs, romance, text messaging and bling
Hey, we’ve all sent a text message that we wish we could have back. Well, Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams is claiming that his “suicidal texts” were taken out of context. Williams, who is entrenched in a lawsuit with his ex-fiancee, is looking to get back his $785,000 diamond engagement ring. The ex-fiancee, or should we call her, Erin Marzouki, claims the Pro Bowl defensive end sent her text messages in which he talked about taking prescription painkillers and having suicidal thoughts. "I took 3 hydrocodones this morning and no one knows," Williams allegedly wrote Marzouki. "I'm going to take 2 more on the plane and fade away ... No money in the world should leave me with suicidal thoughts." Williams addressed the issues on Monday and said that the reports have been blown out of proportion. “I could really care less. I mean, all it is, is allegations, text messages or what not, whatever information blown out of proportion. I mean it’s completely out of context,” Williams said of the released text messages. Williams underwent wrist surgery in October after he sustained an injury earlier in the season. “Anything I take is 100 percent prescribed, given from here,” Williams said of the Bills’ training facility. Tony Buzbee, Marzouki’s lawyer, insists that Williams was dealing with “dramatic mood swings” during the engagement and that’s why it was called off. What’s clear is that Williams isn’t happy about how the events unfolded and even took a shot at Marzouki’s character. "Your lawyer's just an extension of you and she agrees to everything that happens," Williams said. "I'm glad to see somebody's true color in their character now than later."
