It's a new beginning for Manny Ramirez.

And a new look.

The man known for his dreadlocks was forced to lose them in order to comply with the Texas Rangers' minor league policy.

He has sported dreads since his days with the Boston Red Sox, but he also had to trim them down when he joined the Chicago White Sox in 2010.

Ramirez, who hasn't played in the majors since 2011 with Tampa Bay, agreed to terms on a minor league contract with Rangers organization on Wednesday.

He's now playing with the Triple-A Round Rock Express, which isn't too far from Austin, Texas. So, maybe former NFL and Texas Longhorns running back Ricky Williams can give him some advice on life after dreads.
