TEMPE (AP) -- Deja Mann hit a 25-footer at the buzzer to complete an Arizona State rally from 12 points down in the second half against California for a 45-44 win on Saturday in Pac-10 play.

Becca Tobin scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half to lead the Sun Devil rally, while Kali Bennett added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench for Arizona State (14-7, 6-5 Pac-10).

DeNesha Stallworth scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Layshia Clarendon made a pair of free throws with 58.9 seconds left for California (14-8, 6-5), which fell into a tie for fourth with Arizona State in the conference. But Clarendon later missed the front end of a 1-and-1, giving the Sun Devils their final possession.

The Bears led by 12 in the first four minutes of the second half but Mann hit a 3-pointer and Kimberly Brandon hit another to tie the game at 42 with 1:48 left.

Mann, who started at point guard in place of leading scorer Dymond Simon, fouled Clarendon twice in the final minute. The second time with 24.7 seconds remaining, but Clarendon missed the front end of a 1-and-1 and Tobin rebounded. With fouls to give, California's Talia Caldwell fouled Bennett with 8.9 seconds left and Arizona State inbounded the ball.

The Sun Devils got the ball out to Mann, who could not maneuver for a shot until the final seconds, well behind the 3-point line.

The Sun Devils missed 13 of their first 14 shots and finished the half 4-of-23 from the field, but only trailed 18-13 at the break after Cal only made 8-of-21 from the field and the teams combined for 26 turnovers.

Arizona State played without Simon, who averages 14.1 points and 2.8 assists a game, for a second game after suffering a concussion on Jan. 29 against Southern California. Mann scored eight points and had two assists in 23 minutes.
