Malik smashes unbeaten 63 as Pakistan beats UAE by 7 wickets

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) Shoaib Malik smashed 63 not out as Pakistan beat United Arab Emirates by seven wickets in the Asia Cup on Monday.
UAE made 129-6 in its 20 overs after opting to bat first before Pakistan survived an early stumble to reach the winning total with 131-3 in 18.4 overs.
Malik was aided by Umar Akmal who hit an unbeaten 50. The duo combined for an unbroken 114 fourth-wicket partnership after Pakistan was reduced to 17-3.

UAE medium-fast bowler Amjad Javed claimed 3-36.
Javed also scored a fluent 27 not out to pace the UAE innings. Shaiman Anwar was the top scorer with 46 and steadied UAE from a precarious 12-3.
Fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Irfan claimed two wickets apiece for Pakistan.
