ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic announced Friday that guard Devyn Marble has been assigned to the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League.
Marble, a rookie out of Iowa, has played in only five of their first 31 games. Since straining his right rotator cuff Nov. 11 against Minnesota, his one appearance came when he played five minutes Nov. 12 at Atlanta. He was on their inactive list for five of the last six games, including Tuesday night's 100-95 victory over Boston.
Marble was originally selected in the second round by Denver. The Magic acquired his draft rights, along with Evan Fournier, in exchange for Arron Afflalo on June 26.
