The Ohio Machine won their first game under head coach Bear
Davis on the road in Boston 16-12. The Machine came onto the field with all
gears in action, taking an early 4-0 lead and winning the first 3 face-offs.

Kiel Matisz lead the Machine with 2 goals in the first
quarter. He added one more in the second for a hat trick. Rookie of the year
favorite Logan Schuss, out of OSU, had a hat trick of his own.  Schuss second goal gave the Machine at 10-2
lead, their largest of the game.

The Cannons had plenty of opportunities to score, winning
22-30 face-offs. The dominance at the X did not convert, taking only 33 shots
on goal. Stephen Berger had a hat trick for the Cannons and Kevin Buchanan had
the lone 2-point goal of the game.

Both Bear Davis and John Tucker (Boston Cannon's Head Coach)
joined their team mid-season. Under Tucker, the Cannon won 4 straight managing
their way into playoff contention. They have since lost 3 in a row, and
Saturday loss to the Machine eliminated any chance of playoffs.

The Machine end their season in New York against the Lizards
Saturday Aug 10 at 7p. You can watch the game on SportsTime Ohio after the
Indians game on Sunday Aug 11.
