Minnesota Lynx center Sylvia Fowles is the WNBA's Western Conference Player of the Month.

The league announced the honor Friday, recognizing Fowles for leading the undefeated to a 6-0 start while averaging 20 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 61.1 percent from the field.

The prize is the first monthly award of Fowles' career and the 12th won by a Lynx player.

Fowles had a season-high 27 points and 13 rebounds in the Lynx's win over the Dallas Wings on May 20.

Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve was named the first WNBA Coach of the Month, just a few months after being named the league's Coach of the Year for the 2016 season.
