MINNEAPOLIS -- It's not a good preseason to be the knee of a Minnesota Lynx player.

The team announced starting power forward Rebekkah Brunson has been sidelined indefinitely after undergoing an arthroscopy on her right knee Tuesday. She joins regular backups Monica Wright and Devereaux Peters on the list of players who will miss the beginning of the WNBA season.

All three have similar knee injuries.

Brunson finished her 10th WNBA season and fourth with the Lynx last season averaging 10.6 points per game and a team-best 8.9 rebounds per game. She ranked fifth in the league in rebounding and 15th in steals and blocks and tied her own franchise single-season double-doubles record with 12.

Winners of two of the past three league titles, the Lynx commence the regular season Friday at Washington. Their home opener is Sunday against Connecticut.
