Lynx sign ex-Gophers forward Shae Kelley to 7-day contract

The Minnesota Lynx have signed forward Shae Kelley to a seven-day contract.

The team announced the move Tuesday morning.

Kelley was selected by the Lynx in the third round of the 2015 WNBA Draft, at No. 35 overall, out of the University of Minnesota. The 6-foot-1 forward was a member of the All-Big Ten First Team last year, leading the Gophers in steals (56) and finishing second in points (578). She ranked sixth in the Big Ten in scoring and seventh in rebounds.

Kelley, who played in two preseason games with the Lynx, will begin practicing with the team immediately.
