MINNEAPOLIS -- Sylvia Fowles scored 30 points and the Minnesota Lynx finished the regular season with a franchise-record 28 victories, beating the Atlanta Dream 95-87 on Saturday night.

The defending champion Lynx (28-6) earned a double-bye in the playoffs. The lowest seed to advance through the first two single-elimination rounds will visit Minnesota for Game 1 of the semifinals on Sept. 28.

Atlanta (17-17) dropped out of contention for the No. 4 seed. With the Dream's loss, the Chicago Sky clinched the fourth seed and a first-round bye.

Fowles was 9 of 11 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds. Maya Moore added 21 points and eight assists.

Angel McCoughtry led the Dream with 18 points, but landed awkwardly under the basket with 7:54 left in the fourth quarter and sat the rest of the way as a precaution.

The Lynx honored the family Jacob Wetterling by wearing a No. 11 patch on their jerseys. The remains of 11-year-old Jacob were found in central Minnesota last week, nearly 27 years after he went missing. Minnesota will also wear the patch throughout the semifinals of the playoffs.
