Lynx forward Moore named Western Conference Player of the Month

Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore has been named the WNBA's Western Conference Player of the Month.

Moore averaged 22.3 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game during the first month of hte WNBA season, while leading the Lynx to a 6-0 record, including a 27-point, 10-assist performance against Phoenix in Minnesota's home opener.

The honor is Moore's seventh career player of the month award, and the 10th awarded to a Lynx player.

The Lynx return to action at 7 p.m on Saturday, when they take on the Dallas Wings at Target Center.
