FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Kris Yanku scored 26 points, including a career-high 14 from the free throw line, and added nine assists to help Northern Arizona beat North Dakota 88-63 on Saturday.

Aaseem Dixon scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Quinton Upshur added 15 points for the Lumberjacks (12-11, 7-3 Big Sky), who hit 13 3-pointers, one off a season-high. Northern Arizona tops the Big Sky in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentage as well as rebounding margin and finished with a 48-38 edge.

The Lumberjacks had two separate 13-0 runs in the first half and led 53-27 at the break.

"I think the guys played well today," NAU coach Jack Murphy said. "They have really been going hard in practice, so it's nice to see that same intensity in the game. We limited our turnovers and passed the ball well. It's always good when multiple players can get hot and that's what happened. Today was definitely one of our best home games this year."
