RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech officials announced Wednesday morning that the school has added Auburn to its 2014 non-conference football schedule.

The game, which will be the 13th installment in the series, will be held on Sept. 27, 2014 at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala. The two teams last played in the 2009 season opener.

The last three games Louisiana Tech has played against Southeastern Conference opponents have all been decided by one possession. The last time LA Tech faced an SEC team, the then 23rd-ranked Bulldogs pushed No. 22 Texas A&M and eventual Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel to the edge before falling, 59-57, it what was named the No. 8 game of 2012 by ESPN.

Prior to the offensive shootout against the Aggies, LA Tech dominated Ole Miss, 27-7, in November of 2011 after dropping an overtime battle at Mississippi State, 26-20, earlier in the year.

All games, dates and times for the 2014 schedule are subject to change.
