Looking back at the Cavs' regular-season matchups vs. Hawks

The Cleveland Cavaliers changed through the 2014-15 season -- long before Kevin Love's season-ending injury and the lingering injuries in both of Kyrie Irving's legs happened in the playoffs -- and played both teams early in the regular season.
The Cavs played the Hawks just once in the 2015 calendar year and once after acquiring Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith in trades.
Here's a look back at how the Cavs fared in the regular season against the Hawks.
Nov. 15 in Cleveland: Cavs 127, Hawks 94
It was never close. The Cavs scored 41 points in the first quarter and made 19 3-pointers on the game, getting four 3-pointers apiece from Irving, James and rookie Joe Harris. No Hawks starter logged more than 28 minutes; Paul Millsap led the Hawks with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
Dec 17 in Cleveland: Hawks 107, Cavs 98
The Cavs led by 8 points after one quarter then the Hawks caught fire and kept going, shooting an astounding 64.5 percent for the game. The Hawks made 16 3-pointers, led by six 3-pointers from little-used backup point guard Shelvin Mack. The Hawks were 16-of-28 from behind the 3-point line. This was so long ago that the Cavs started Marion and Varejao. James and Dion Waiters led the Cavs with 21 points apiece.
Dec. 30 in Atlanta: Hawks 109, Cavs 101
James did not play on his 30th birthday; the Cavs started Irving (he scored 35 points), Dellavedova, Mike Miller, Love and Tristan Thompson. The Hawks shot 51 percent, while the Cavs shot just 42 percent. Millsap led the Hawks with 26 points, Jeff Teague scored 23 and the Cavs played from behind the whole second half. This is when the Hawks were just heating up; from Nov. 28 to the end of January, the Hawks won 33 of 35 games and this home win over the Cavs was the second in what became a 19-game win streak.
Mar. 6 in Atlanta: Hawks 106, Cavs 97
The Cavs shot poorly, and James and Irving were a combined 12-of-29. The Cavs were 13-of-38 on 3-point tries, a byproduct of digging themselves an early hole, while the Hawks got their usual and desired balance. Al Horford led the Hawks with 19 points and 9 rebounds, while Dennis Schroeder scored 15 off the bench.
Over the last three meetings vs. the Cavs the Hawks shot 55 percent and 41 percent from behind the 3-point line.
