Dominic Raiola is coming back for Year 14 with the Detroit Lions.

Raiola, a second-round draft pick in 2001, took a significant pay cut to return last year but he's getting a raise now after receiving a one-year contract.

Raiola, 35, would have become an unrestricted free agent next month, but he's made it clear many times that his heart is in Detroit and that he wants to play his entire career with the Lions.

It was a somewhat obvious move by the Lions to bring him back based on Raiola's impressive performance in 2013, widely considered one of the best seasons in his 13-year NFL career.

The Lions still have decisions to make on three more starters -- tight end Brandon Pettigrew, defensive end Willie Young and cornerback Rashean Mathis -- who are also unrestricted free agents this off-season.
