Lions' Megatron 'questionable' vs. Jets

Lions' Megatron 'questionable' vs. Jets

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 3:35 p.m. ET

Receiver Calvin Johnson is officially listed as questionable for the Detroit Lions' game Sunday against the New York Jets because of an ankle injury.

Johnson indicated Wednesday that he didn't think the injury, which occurred late in last Sunday's game, was serious, but he did miss practice both Wednesday and Thursday before returning to the field Friday on a limited basis.

The assumption is that he'll play, but that probably won't be confirmed by the team until Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, safety James Ihedigbo, listed as probable, is expected to make his Lions' debut after missing the first three games because of a neck injury.

Tight end Joseph Fauria (ankle), cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle) and linebacker Travis Lewis (quadriceps) have been ruled out for Sunday.

Offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle (calf) and safety Don Carey (hamstring) are doubtful while fullback Montell Owens (hamstring) is questionable.

For the Jets, cornerback Dee Milliner (quadriceps) is doubtful, and receiver Eric Decker (hamstring) questionable.

Fauria, by the way, is wearing a protective boot for his injury. He responded to anyone questioning how he was really injured with the following tweet:

"I am working hard to return ASAP. For those who didn't hear, I injured my ankle in a freak fall at home. Nothing more to the story. GO LIONS."
