Lions lose CB Wright to Bucs

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Lions’ defense has suffered its first loss in free agency, with starting cornerback Eric Wright signing with the Tampa  Bay Buccaneers Wednesday morning.

The transaction was reported by numerous media sources and continues the Bucs’ push to rebuild quickly. The first day of free agency, Tuesday, the Bucs signed wide receiver Vincent Jackson, formerly of San Diego.

Wright signed a one-year contract with the Lions in 2011 and started all 16 games. He was second on the team with four interceptions.
