Lightning re-sign forward J.T. Brown to 2-year deal

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Brown was re-signed to a two-year, one-way contract Wednesday night.

The deal is worth a reported $1.9 million.

Brown, 23, had four goals and 19 points in 63 games with the Lightning last season. He ranked fourth among Tampa Bay rookies for assists and points. He had two assists in four Stanley Cup playoff games last season.

A native of Rosemount, Minnesota, he has four goals and 20 points in 68 career NHL games, all with the Lightning. He made his debut with Tampa Bay on March 31, 2012, against the Winnipeg Jets at Tampa Bay Times Forum.

He joined the Lightning as an undrafted free agent on March 28, 2012.
