SURPRISE, Ariz. – Texas right-hander Colby Lewis doesn't want a put a timeline on his return to the Rangers.

But he does know that his right arm feels good.

Lewis said he went harder Monday during his throwing session from 135 feet than he has this spring and his arm felt fine Tuesday.

The target for Lewis throwing from the mound is still March 1. After that, he's not looking at any other calendar dates.

"It's a situation where you have to assess it and move on and move forward," said Lewis, who had surgery on his right flexor tendon last month. "When you feel good you move forward. If you feel bad, you take a step back and take a day and move on from there."

While Lewis isn't putting a date on his return, the thought of it does excite the normally even-keeled Californian.

"I get goose bumps thinking about it," he said. "I think about it but I know I still have to reserve myself a little bit and make sure I do to prepare myself."
