LenDale White complimentary of Buck Allen's running style at USC

Don't ask Buck Allen what former running back LenDale White said or did on Twitter. He won't be able to comment.
Adding to the uniqueness of Allen is the fact that the star tailback is not on social media -- he's oblivious to it all.
"I can't even help you with that," Allen told a reporter who mentioned something to him about White's recent Twitter outbursts related to USC.
Before he became the talk of USC's football weekend White had a talk with the current Trojans ballcarrier.
It was just a quick, friendly chat in which White expressed his fondness of Allen's talents.
"He just said he like the way I run," Allen recalled. "He said it's kind of like him and Reggie Bush mixed together. He just said I'm a smooth runner."
Normally, compliments roll right off of the back of Allen but White's words had some significance.
"It means a lot," Allen admitted. "I respect those guys a lot and for somebody as great as he was and a great person as he is to tell me that really makes me appreciate the game more, really makes me want to go out there and work harder."

Kessler makes USC history with record-setting 7 TD passes
White is USC's all-time rushing touchdown leader. He ran for a school record 52 touchdowns during his time with the Trojans from 2003-2005 as the "Thunder" to Reggie Bush's "Lightning" in USC's most recent glory days.
Since stepping onto USC's campus, Allen has watched a lot of film on USC backs of the past including White.
If there's an MVP for the Trojans so far this season, it's Allen. He also just happens to be the team's reigning MVP. On a day in which quarterback Cody Kessler stood out by throwing a school-record seven touchdown passes in, arguably, the best offensive performance for the Trojans this season in the win over Colorado, it was Allen who added 128 yards rushing or more than half the team's rushing total.
He's gained over 100 yards in six of seven games this season and 10 of his last 13 games dating back to last season.
The biggest surprise, however, to head coach Steve Sarkisian is how effective he's been catching passes out of the backfield. He's third on the team in receptions with 24.
Allen contends "I'm not the only weapon we have" but week after week he continues to prove how valuable he is. One of the great Trojans of the past, White, told him as much.
