Welcome, again, to "Speculation Season" - as fueled by LeBron James' wife, Savannah.
A photo of Akron, Ohio -- the hometown of both LeBron and Savannah James -- posted by Savannah James on Instagram late Sunday night drew a quick and strong reaction on social media.
It included the caption, "Home sweet home!! The countdown is real! #330," which of course got people wondering.
The James Family has always returned to that house in the Akron area for the summers, so this may be much ado about nothing, which Miami Herald Heat beat writer Joseph Goodman backed up Monday morning.
LeBron James can opt out of his current contract with the Miami Heat by June 30. All he said following the Heat's loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals is that he would go on vacation, then talk with his family and his advisors about upcoming decisions.
Even since leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in July of 2010, the four-time NBA MVP has maintained his residence in Bath, just outside of Akron and a straight shot on Interstate 77 south of Cleveland.
Savannah's picture just provides more fodder. Maybe within a week -- or maybe two -- we'll know where LeBron James plans to play next season.
