Kyle Busch Wins Wild, Controversial Nationwide Race At New Hampshire

Kyle Busch survived three attempts at a green-white-checkered finish to win Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Busch held a 1.7 second lead over Brian Vickers with two to go in Saturday's 200 lap race before the yellow flag flew for Hackenbracht's stopped car in turn 2, leading to NASCAR's version of triple overtime.

The first attempt at a G-W-C finish was halted by Landon Cassill's stalled car, with the second attempt ending when a four-wide melee sent Paul Menard backwards into the fence and Parker Kligerman buried in the infield grass.

NASCAR decided to throw the red flag for cleanup, which infuriated several drivers and sent the Twitterverse into a downward spiral spewing with controversy.

Regardless, the red flag allowed teams to avoid pitting for fuel, setting up a third and final G-W-C attempt.

Busch managed to gap the field quickly to score his seventh Nationwide win of the season. Vickers held on to finish second with Austin Dillon, Brian Scott and Michael Annett rounding out the top five.

Dillon's third-place finish earned him a $100,000 bonus thanks to Nationwide Insurance's "Dash 4 Cash" program.

Nationwide regular Elliott Sadler didn't fare quite as well. After restarting fourth on the final restart, Sadler made contact with Regan Smith and spun, resulting in an 18th place finish.

According to Dustin Long of MRN, Sadler confronted Smith after the race.

Smith wasn't the only one in Sadler's crosshairs.
