Joe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch took his road to the Daytona 500 through Arizona Thursday night as the driver of the No. 18 Toyota hit a Coyotes hockey game.

Busch met with Coyotes captain Shane Doan prior to the night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, with Busch presenting Doan an M&M's jacket and Doan giving Busch a No. 18 jersey with his name on the back.

The Coyotes also presented the expecting father with a youth jersey with No. 18 and Busch on the back.

During the game, Busch took over the Phoenix International Raceway Twitter account to answer fan questions, spoke with FOX Sports Arizona, sat with a group of young "Rowdy" fans, and even took a selfie during the game.

Unfortunately for the Coyotes, they lost to the Hurricanes in a shootout, with Elias Lindholm scoring the game-winning goal.
