Kirk Cousins is proudly riding around in his grandma's conversion van
With the recent purchase of his grandmother's conversion van, Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has joined the fraternity of NFL passers riding around in some sick wheels guaranteed to make teammates laugh.
Jay Cutler founded the fraternity last week, though surely more QBs and others around the league already drive "kid haulers" at home, as one blog refers to the limited-edition 2000 Chevrolet Express Explorer that Cousins bought.
"Sometimes I'd pull up to a stoplight when I was driving around (home), and I think they'd expect an elderly person or a middle-aged dad to be pulling up," Cousins told Dan Steinberg of the D.C. Sports Bog. "And sure enough, I pull up."
Cousins explained that the van belonged to his grandfather who passed away during the offseason, and that he had always appreciated its functionality.

The third-year pro also has a Chevy Tahoe but said he plans to use the beast for guests and road trips.
Teammates have yet to see the vehicle but will soon. “That’ll be fun," Cousins said. "I think my teammates will laugh a little bit.”
Know who won't be laughing? Running back Alfred Morris, the King of Frugal, who you may recall had his 1991 Mazda 626 fully refurbished by the company last year, a sort-of thank you for the nice publicity.
Cousins looks pretty funny behind the wheel, but he has nothing to be ashamed about except the van's gas mileage.
