The Kings dealt Matt Frattin and two draft picks to Columbus for three-time All-Star right wing Marian Gaborik just a few hours before the NHL trade deadline passed on Wednesday.
Limited to just 22 games so far this season because of a collarbone injury, Gaborik, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, has six goals and eight assists.
Gaborik has 342 career goals and 688 points in parts of 13 seasons with the Blue Jackets, Rangers and Wild.
