Kent State's next step - the basics

Kent State's next step - the basics

Last night at Progressive Field, a roar went up between innings.
The scoreboard had announced the final score of the Kent State victory over Florida in the College World Series, and the fans in attendance cheered their approval.
"What comes next" was the question that most wanted to know. Here's the facts;
Wednesday night, Kent State plays South Carolina at 8pm EST. The loser goes home, eliminated from the CWS. The winner moves on to face Arkansas on Thursday night at 9pm.
Since this is a double-elimination tournament, and Arkansas is still unbeaten, Kent State would have to first beat SC, then defeat Arkansas twice to stave off elimination.
Even then, the journey would not be over.
Three more wins would push the Flashes into the championship round, where they would play a best-of-three series against the winner of Bracket One (Arizona, UCLA, or Florida State).
Kent State grabbed their biggest win of the year Monday night when they took down #1 Florida. Five more wins and they are champions.
