LOS ANGELES -- If it feels like Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp just returned from the disabled list, it's because he has.

After returning for a game and an inning, Kemp is back on the 15-day DL, it was announced Thursday.

Kemp suffered another strain in his left hamstring on Wednesday night when scoring on an Andre Ethier double in the first inning of the Dodgers 6-3 loss.

The injury is a Grade 1 hamstring strain, but it's the second strain in the same muscle.

According to Dodgers head athletic trainer Sue Falsone the best case scenario for Kemp's return is four weeks, citing the muscle needs rest and time to heal.

“There's not a lot of muscle fiber tear," Falsone said.

Getting the start for Kemp in the Dodgers series finale against the Brewers on Thursday night is Elian Herrera.

It will be the second career start for Herrera in center field.

For the season, Kemp is batting .355 with 12 home runs and 28 RBI.

The Dodgers, who were 9-5 in Kemp's last trip to the DL, have recalled infielder/outfielder Alex Castellanos from Triple-A Albuquerque.

They’ll conclude their series against the Brewers tonight at 7 p.m. on Prime Ticket.
