Wednesday could have been a disastrous day for the Braves. Instead, we can thank the Houston Astros for keeping an amazing streak alive.
It happened again. The Braves lost, so did the Phillies. For the ninth day in a row the two teams at the top of the National League East had the same verdict.
For the last nine days, every time the Braves have won, the Phillies have won. And then every time the Braves have lost, the Phillies have lost on the same day too.
Nine days. Not three. Not five. But for more than a week these two teams have done the same thing the other team has done.
