CINCINNATI -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich visited the Bengals on Wednesday as the team held practice during the second day of its three-day mandatory mini-camp at Paul Brown Stadium.
Kasich was in Cincinnati signing legislation that will allow for electronic tolling on the Brent Spence Bridge, the bridge along Interstates 75 and 71 that connects Ohio and Kentucky across the Ohio River. The two states are attempting to find ways to finance a $2.5 million project that would provide for a new bridge to replace the double decked structure that opened in 1963.
Kasich held the signing at Paul Brown Stadium, which is located just east of the bridge, and then came down onto the stadium's field for the final 15-20 minutes of practice. He met with Bengals owner and president Mike Brown as well as head coach Marvin Lewis. He spoke with players at the end of practice as a group.
He even helped cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones with his golf game. Jones was talking with former Bengals cornerback Eric Thomas about his swing when the governor offered some advice. Jones ran into the Bengals locker room, grabbed a golf club and made his way back to end zone for his quick lesson.
