Rumors of Justin Bieber appearances flooded Austin all weekend during South By Southwest, a film, music and technology festival in the state's capital.
Texas coach Rick Barnes didn't have to rely on rumors, though.
The Canadian pop star paid Texas' practice facility a visit and posed for a photo with Barnes. Both showed off a "Hook 'em Horns" sign, but pardon me if I don't quite understand Bieber's bewildered expression. Is that permanent?

Barnes was honored on Sunday as the coaches' pick for Big 12 Coach of the Year.
